This year makes 54 years of fishing the Kipawa area and over 130 trips. It's back to Lake Dumoine for a wonderful week of catching and eating walleyes. There are a lot of memories of days catching 75 waleyes between two of us and then sitting back and enjoying an ice cold Bleu when the day is through.
Good luck to everyone this season. :lol

Hi Netman:

It's been a while. Just wondering whether or not water levels in early Aug restrict your area of fishing to strictly Grassy? Our group departs 15 Aug for Lac Bay at Club Trout Lake. Have a great trip!

Jay

Jay,
Yes the water levels do bound us to Grassy, the river to Whatson and up the Kipawa toward Dumoin is to low to pass. I guess you could haul your boats and gear around the rocks and make it thru but it would be way to much work. We have been successful in reaching the far south end of Grassy or Black Lake on occasion. There are plenty of fish in Grassy to keep us busy!
