So where is everyone getting theirs leeches this year? I know the usual spots, but looking for the best deals for the best quality. I am heading to Smith Bay Outfitters the week of July 12. Anyone else going up at that time?

We got our leeches and fishng license at Pronature in Temiscaming this year. It was more convenient as we were heading north. Nice store, good people, and the leeches were really good quality. $49/lb.

Right along the Susquehanna West Branch in Lewisburg which is just above the confluence where the North and West Branches merge to form the main river stem. About an hour north of Harrisburg.

I know Lewisburg well. I grew up in Selinsgrove. My family still lives there. In my younger days I use to hang out at the Bull Run Inn.

The Selinsgrove is a nice town. Oh my younger days at the Bull Run Inn! Downed a few brewskies in there back in the day.

Fishing for smallmouth bass was great there between the dam at Sunbury and Selinsgrove at one time. I don't have time to get on the water as much now but it seems to be in decline.

Good luck on your trip, hope the fish cooperate.
