Was up in Kipawa for the final weekend of Lake Trout Sept-12-14 with a few buddies, my dad and a few of his buddies. We stayed at our family camp near the town of Kipawa. Weather was cold and wet all weekend, but we battled the elements for a fairly protective weekend. Stuck close to camp due to the weather, all fishing was done in the Lac Green area. Over 3 days, the Young guns boat pulled in 35 Lake trout, double headers were common and we even had a triple header. quote of the week happened during the triple header "Who's driving the boat". Probably lost just as many Lake Trout as we caught as well. Biggest trout was 8lbs, most were 16-20", only kept one 25"er to eat, the rest all went back.

Walleye fishing was tougher due to the cold front but still manged around 40 eyes for the 3 young guns, all 12-18". Kept a few each day for a fish fry, most went back.

The old boys didn't fair so well, when the weather gets tough they focus more on comfort and less on doing what it takes to get the fish in the boat! LOL. No lake trout for them and probably 20ish walleye between the 4 old timers.

All in all another good fall boys fishing weekend, everyone is looking forward to next year.

I'm not on the new forum yet, but if someone would like to copy and paste this report to the other board, feel free.
